Cats ,Coffee and Liquid Lipsticks is my mantra for life ! Not very long ago I absolutely shuddered at the idea of those chalky matte liquid lipsticks that I felt looked like paint on my lips .But a little less long ago ,I finally gave into the trend and since then there is no going back ,NONE I tell you. Giving into that obsession has lead me to try every other brand that comes up with a liquid lipstick just to find that perfect formula that ensures long lasting color with a comfortable formula 

In that search , I recently got my hands on this new release from this Drugstore brand “Wet N Wild” named Megalast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick . As soon as I saw them , I knew I had to have them because Wet n Wild has become one of my favorite brands lately (Reviewed their highlighters HERE & HERE). So, I am reviewing the newly launched Megalast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick today , keep on reading for the verdict and the swatches (of course)

My Experience:

The Wet n Wild Megalast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick comes in a small packaging that is comparable to Jefree Star’s liquid lipsticks as per some bloggers . The tube is short and stubby as compared to standard liquid lipstick tubes . The applicator has a small handle and has a clear wand which I absolutely love . More over the applicator tip has this really unique shape that has a groove in the middle so it just kind of hugs the lips and makes precise application easy ,Thumbs up for the innovation wet n wild ! 

The formula has a mousse like thick texture and is not runny at all . The product glides on really smoothly and dries to a matte finish . However it takes a minute or two to dry down completely so its easier to makes any corrections if you want. Since its really really pigmented , so you don’t need to layer it up to show . However , the product smells really really bad if you actually smell it like closely. It smells like some chemical or burnt plastic , I don’t know I just cant seem to put a finger on it . But the good part is it doesn’t stay at all, in fact if you don’t smell it closely, you won’t even feel a thing. 

Upon application , the lipstick dries down to a matte finish in a minute or two . It is pigmented enough to cover up the lips in single swipe ,hence you don’t need to layer it up at all . Coming to formula , it is one of the most comfortable and light weight liquid lipsticks that I have worn till date. At first you might feel its a bit tacky but as it dries down completely, there is no tackiness or stickiness to it at all. I really like how it doesn’t just hold on to dry patches and make them. Stand out like anything. Of course, the prior moisturizing and scrubbing your lips is mandatory 

I have only one shade in the range of 13 . The shade I got is “REBEL ROSE” a Dusty Rose with Mauve undertones . While on the internet it looks more rose-y , its really mauve on me which I really like because its such a unique shade that I haven’t seen in other collections. About the staying power and wear time , Its absolutely unbelievable ! This Liquid Lipstick lasts a good 4-5 hours without any cracking or shedding after which it finally starts to settle a bit in the lines . Without eating or drinking it has lasted on me for 7-8 hours (that’s the longest I have worn it ) and with eating and drinking it starts to fade in the center which I think is pretty normal . Since the color I have is pretty light hence the small wear time and no staining of the lips . I don’t have any darker shades (yet) so can’t comment on this now, but will be updating about it really soon ! 

All in all, I think this is an amazing Liquid Lipstick in terms of packaging , formula , wear time , color range and of course the price ! Highly recommended for you guys and yes I will be grabbing more shades pretty soon !
