Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation – Your foundation on the go (Review)
How many times have you ended up with a messed up makeup bag because your foundation bottle accidentally spilled. Or you don’t want to take a huge ass bottle of foundation just for a short trip. I can totally relate to these struggles and usually I end up taking the smallest bottle of whatever foundation or BB cream I have just because I want to travel light. Recently Makeup Revolution came out with their new foundation called the Fast Base, which is basically a foundation stick and today we are going to talk about that.
Makeup Revolution Fast Base Stick Foundation :
Foundation just got faster! Launching in 18 shades and a range of undertones, Fast Base Foundation quickly perfects, contours and highlights your complexion.
The easy-to-apply stick formula melts into skin, blending seamlessly to leave a fresh and dewy finish. Twist up, swipe on and blend out with fingers, a beauty sponge or your favourite foundation brush.
My Experience :
The Makeup Revolution Fast Base comes in a sleek cream colored twist up packaging with rose gold accents that I absolutely love. The cap secures nicely and the tube is thinner as compared to regular foundation sticks, which makes it super travel friendly. The twist up mechanism works really well and takes out good amount of product to be used.
The foundation comes in a stick form (obviously) in a wide range of 18 shades that cater from lightest to some of the dark skin tones in different undertones and shades that are described perfectly on their website.
Personally I am not a stick foundation person because I find them very thick and difficult to blend. Also being a sheer to medium coverage person I find these stick bases very very high coverage. But I am so glad I gave makeup revolution’s fast base a go. The formula of the foundation is super smooth and glides on like butter on your skin when you apply it. You can blend it with fingers or sponge or brush, whatever you please but either way it blends beautifully and just sinks into skin giving a nice medium coverage and a dewy fresh finish. Unlike stick foundations, this one doesn’t make you look all caked up or like you are wearing a mask. I have a combination skin with an oily T-zone but still this doesn’t make it look oily or greasy. The foundation doesn’t oxidise on me which is a good thing since it makes it harder to get your exact match.
The coverage is sheer to medium and fairly build able without looking cakey. It does transfer but once set with powder it stays put with a good 8 hours without budging or transferring. It doesn’t clog my pores and doesn’t break me out as well which I adore but of course you need to properly take it off by the end of the day, for which I use my much trusted Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water in Oil (read Review HERE).
he shade I got is F6 which is described as “For light/medium skin tones with yellow undertone” n the website and its quite appropriate description. What I love about makeup revolution is their close to actual shade description that makes it super easy to chose your shade online. Still I will suggest you google up some swatches before buying to have an exact idea of your shade.
All in all, I am in love with this foundation. I have been using it since a month now and absolutely in love with the healthy dewy finish it gives me.
Price & Availability :
