Cover, Conceal and Contour it all with Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer – Review
I am such a low maintenance person that even putting a sheer foundation feels fancy to me, let alone putting on a full coverage concealer every time I step out. But that doesn’t mean I don’t love to try out new concealers, that too hyped everywhere! Today we’ll be talking about the Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer, so let’s go!
Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer:
The concealer for everyone. 18 shades ranging from fair to deep, in cool, neutral and warm undertones. Lightweight yet full coverage concealer to cover blemishes, even skin tone and counteract dark circles, with a matte finish that won’t settle or accentuate fine lines and pores. Long wearing intense pigment that can also be used to contour and add definition. Our large doe foot applicator allows for smooth application that won’t drag on the delicate skin under your eyes.
How to use: Apply a few dots under your eyes and blend out using a synthetic brush or damp blending sponge under blended and flawless. Apply 1 dot to blemishes or dark spots and blend with finger, brush or sponge, building up if necessary. To contour dot a shade 2-3 shades darker than your complexion around the perimeters of your face, in the hollows of your cheekbones and anywhere you wish to give extra definition, and blend out with a synthetic brush or sponge. For added staying power, finish with a setting powder and fixing spray to lock your flawless finish in place all day.
My Experience :
The Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer comes in clear plastic bottle with rose gold screw up top which is absolutely gorgeous. I love how makeup revolution products are so inexpensive but feel & look luxurious. The applicator is a doe foot one which is way short and stubby than a regular one which helps alot in dispensing and spreading product evenly. You get a good 0.11 fl oz / 3.4 ml of product in the tube , which is fair enough for the price you are paying for. However there is a certain smell to the product that isn’t that strong but you can still smell that is somewhat chemical/paint like, but the good part is it dissipates immediately and you don’t feel it after applications
The concealer is of a thick consistency and doesn’t feel sticky or oily at all. Also a little pea sized amount is enough to cover up large areas as it is highly pigmented and a little goes a long way. Once applied it settles down to a nice semi matte finish and doesn’t budge unless you rub it intensely. I really like how it isn’t excessively greasy that it moves around nor its super matte to dry down and settle into fine lines especially under eyes, however I feel like setting it with powder settles it down and makes it last even longer. Wearing it alone, it gave me a good 5-6 hours of wear and 8-9 hours with powder. The concealer blends beautifully into the skin and doesn’t drag or remove the foundation underneath. However there is a certain smell to the product that isn’t that strong but you can still smell that is somewhat chemical/paint like, but the good part is it dissipates immediately and you don’t feel it after application.
The Makeup Revolution Conceal & Define Concealer comes in a variety of 18 shades ranging from lightest porcelain to some really dark shades with different undertones. What I like the most is that each shade is very specifically defined on the Website of its shade range along with the undertone, which is pretty accurate too. The one I got is C6 which is For light/medium skin tones with yellow undertone, and its one perfect description . I have swatched it along side two of my most favorite concealers so you guys can have an idea of how the undertone is .
One thing is that I use concealers mostly to highlight my under eye area because I don’t have any aggressive dark circles under my eyes . On its own , it gives me a white/grey cast that isn’t flattering at all but once on the foundation its pretty amazing . ( For Refernce : I am NC 20- 25)
Also what makes it even more intriguing is that it has been talked about as the possible dupe of much acclaimed Tarte Shape Tape concealer. by looking at the swatches online and comparison done on Youtube by various beauty influencers , I would say it really does give the later a run for their money
Price & Availability:
The Makeup Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer retails for £4.00 at the Tam Beauty website . In Pakistan you can fine it from online sellers , I got mine for PKR 850/- from beautybar.pk.
