Recently, I have been obsessed with mascaras and have been hoarding them like crazy, given the fact that 6 months ago I didn’t even know how to put on mascara properly and always ended up with clumped lashes and product smearing every where. Anyhow, we are past and far away that and since we are on it, I am writing today about one of my favorite mascaras and that too drugstore! Lets get on to it :

My Experience :  

The L’Orèal VOLUMINOUS® Lash Paradise Mascara comes in a sleek rose gold tube, with a gold rim. The tube is sturdy and closes securely. One thing is that the color and print of the tube starts peeling off if you are a little harsh user like me. The mascara wand is pretty long with soft hair bristles. I absolutely love the wand as its really dense and catches the lashes, coating & separating them beautifully. 

Coming to the product itself now. At first it is a little thin and takes very long time to dry once applied. But with time and usage, it starts to get thick, however it still  takes a while to dry down. There is no fragrance whatsoever and the product doesn’t sting the eyes at all which is a major plus for me because I have really sensitive eyes that start watering at the sight of slightly irritating product. 

The mascara really lives up to its claims of giving volume and lengthening the lashes. One coat of mascara gives enough volume and lengthens the lashes considerably.  Two coats make them look even more Voluminous without going all clumpy which is great. The best thing about this mascara that stole my heart instantly is the way it holds up the curl of my stubborn straight lashes which no other washable mascara was able to do so till now. It holds the curl beautifully through out the day and gives that gorgeous open eye effect that makes you look awake and bright eyed all day long. I have worn this mascara for 8 hours straight without any flaking or smudging unless you rub your eyes with water.

Also taking it off is easy as a breeze, just soak a cotton pad with a makeup remover, keep it over the lashes for 10 seconds and then swipe away all the mascara without tugging to your lashes or making a mess. 

I think this mascara definitely checks off all the things that I look for in a good mascara and the cherry on top its Drugstore!! Only if they work a little more on the packaging and printing it, its totally going to knock some big names off the racks for sure.
