Physiogel 14 -Day Challenge / Daily Defense Replenishing Night Cream -Review
A couple of weeks back , I was surprised when a 10 Kg Courier box showed up on my door step with my name on it . Even though I argued with the mail man that it must an honest mistake but he was hell bent to make me take it (looks like he was too tired of carrying it all the way ) . Any hoooo, long story short I had received quite a thoughtfully wrapped up basket from PHYSIOGEL Pakistan with some of their products and a few delicacies to spoil me (rotten) .
They had asked me, along with many other renowned bloggers, to take up a 14 day skin care challenge with their products and give an honest insight about them . If you have been in the loop with me over the social media ,I had updated about the progress a couple of times and now today ,after using it over 3 weeks (though it was supposed to be a 14 day challenge) I find myself capable enough to put forward the final verdict .

My Experience:
Let me be super honest with you guys right from the beginning. Whenever I start off with a product ,specially the skin care ones , I have zero expectations no matter how high the claims are or how much hyped they are because every skin is different and it behaves and reacts differently . So its not like that I don’t agree with anybody , its just that my skin is so unpredictable when it comes to skin care products in particular .
So, as much as I wanted to believe in the claims made by Physiogel products , I still was skeptical that what would be the outcome because hey no one wants a broken out skin any day of the week . Well ,it was a challenge and it had to be taken ,tried and tested to put out a verdict for you guys . I am plugging in the instagram post where I started off the challenge . Here I must mention that I am completely bare face with not even a moisturizer on my face and you can see that there is a bit of redness around the cheek area and skin isn’t glowy at all.

The Physiogel Replenishing Night Cream comes in only one variant i.e for Dry/Sensitive skin , which made me conscious at first but the the cream its self is very light weight and doesn’t feel oily or heavy, So I can say that it works for the Normal/Combination skins very well (I myself being one ). The cream is free from any sort of fragrance so it minimizes any chance of allergen in the form of fragrant ingredients we usually come across in our usual moisturizers . The simple yet sturdy pump bottle is just perfect for dispensing the product and also carrying it around in your bag as it secures just fine and pump is hard enough to ensure that no accidental dispensing happens. Also ,I have found that only one complete pump dispenses enough product for your face and neck (even the broad face like mine ) so thumbs up for that !
Now coming to the claims made by them . They claim that skin becomes less sensitive , Brighter and healthier with regular usage .Also it helps build up barrier function of the skin at night and hydrates overnight . Well with usage of 3 continuous weeks,I have felt that my skin feels visibly hydrated and smoother than before and definitely looks healthier . I hadn’t changed my diet or routine with the product because I wanted to see the effects solely by this .
Coming to hypoallergenic part , I would say that a skin like mine that breaks up even at the sight of heavy moisturizers , stayed pretty much calm and behaved really well during the tenure . Yes I experienced minute break outs that I usually do at times but it wouldn’t put the blame on this at all . When it comes to making skin less sensitive , though I had no other idea of doing it, what I did was I kept my makeup on for the whole day ( 11 am -12 am) that makes it around 11 hours , I wasn’t going out or anything but I put it on and did the regular home chores , took a mid day nap and just let it be . Normally , this would have resulted in break outs over my nose , forehead and cheeks , but with 2 weeks down with this moisturizer , I still broke out but a little less than before (say if used to get 8 pimples before , I got 5 this time ) so may be with more regular usage it will take effect more and skin barrier becomes more strong .

All in all , I think I would definitely be recommending this moisturizer to all those girls who are afraid to use moisturizers because they break them out and have sensitive skin . The complete absence of any preservatives , colorants and fragrance makes it an ideal product for the people with sensitive skin. However, I feel a more lighter variant for the Normal or Oily skinned people would have been a good idea .
