A few weeks back I talked about an event that was organised by Forth Arc and Bioderma Team in Lahore. (Read: HERE).  So, with all the live testing and first impressions aside, we were provided with full sized bottles to take away and use them and then give our reviews after a good scrutiny. This was December 17th ,2016  that makes it about 2 months of continuous trial and testing . I feel like now its good time to review the Bioderma Sensibio H20 Solution Micellaire 

Bioderma Sensibio H20 Solution Micellaire:

Biological mode of action:

Instructions for use:

• Morning and/or evening – 7 days a week
• Soak a cotton pad with Sensibio H2O.
• Gently cleanse and/or remove make-up from your face and eyes.
• Re-apply until the cotton pad becomes clean.
• Lightly dab your face with a clean cotton towel.

My Experience:

The Bioderma Sensiobio H2O comes in a plastic bottle with a pink cap in 4 different packaging 100 ml, 250 ml, 500 ml and 1000 ml. The bottle comes nicely sealed and is not resealable . The cap secures nice and the lid also closes pretty tight but still I feel the packaging is not travel friendly because the chances of the lid flap opening are still pretty high ( if you keep an organised bag then sure take it , this is for people like me who have a crazy bag , then please don’t take chances!)

The product is clear with consistency of water , in fact its just as colorless and odorless as water that one can easily mistake it for water ( please keep it away from naive people  like your kids and men in the house !). However, if you have it on your lips and you smack it ( like me ) it tastes very very bitter and makes your mouth taste really bad .

 Now coming to the point of its performance . It claims that it takes off Makeup and impurities and soothes the skin. I take only a few drops of the product on the cotton pad and just wipe off all my face. It definitely takes off all the makeup (on makeup days) and all the dust and impurities when its a bare face day. I am really impressed with the performance of this as a cleanser and makeup remover alike . I really like how its water based and doesn’t tend to evaporate with time like all the alcohol based products which you have to reapply on the swabs again and again to get full cleansing . 

It definitely takes off a full coverage foundation , cream shadows ,Waterproof mascara and liquid lipstick without any harsh rubbing and tugging of skin . I really like how it doesn’t leave your skin tacky or sticky after application . However, the residue on the lips tastes very bitter as I said before , so I prefer washing my face after cleansing . 

My skin is sensitive ,so I usually shy away from the cream or oil based cleansers and makeup removers as they tend to sting my skin and also lead to breakouts . Since Bioderma Sensibio is water based with PH same as our skin and no irritating ingredients, I am happy to announce that this cleanser doesn’t sting/breakout/burn my skin and also the eyes ,rather it feels like water . 

With regular usage ,I have seen a clear difference in my black and white heads .Also with regular cleansing , my pores now feel clean and skin feels smoother than before . Since there is no residue and it makes my skin squeaky clean, the break outs have been reduced to minimal. I use it every night before going to bed but the times when I have to apply makeup ,I make sure I cleanse it beforehand so it gives a clean canvas and makes makeup application easier too. 

However , here I would like to add that the Bioderma Sensibio H2O Solution Micellaire ‘s 250 ml Bottle retails for PKR 1000/- . which I think is kind of steep for the amount of product .Since the product is very high performance and needs little amount for the whole face ,it would last a fair amount of time and would justify the price . It is definitely an investment worth the money and worth the hype !
